Charles
Remember to take care of yourself so you may care for others
As a part of recovery from the training, I received several Thai massages and felt drawn to the practice. In 2007 I spent 3 more weeks learning Thai Massage at TMC in Chiang Mai. There I was taught the transitions and movement by the giver to the receiver are akin to assisted yoga.
Still in search of the wellness method that felt right for me, I studied for and received my Yoga Teacher Certification from Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India in 2008.
By 2009 I finally made the decision to attend the Swedish Institute here in NYC to gain knowledge of anatomy and the affects of massage on the body. I started my own therapeutic massage practice after obtaining my license in 2011. My practice is adapted to the individual needs of my clients. My aim is to provide a calm, nurturing, therapeutic massage and environment while addressing the receivers’ needs. Relying on my past experiences in fitness and yoga I suggest self care while off the table as well.
